John Francis Pearce | Leader of Port Townsend

John Francis Pearce, 73, of Port Townsend, passed away on May 30, 2024, surrounded by his loving family after being diagnosed with stage IV cancer in the final weeks of his life.

Hardworking, talented, humble and charismatic. He was known for his deep passion for classic cars, blues guitar and pride in his family. To truly get to know John, you had to spend time working with him, playing cribbage and learning his old-fashioned work ethic. This was different for each of his children, as he built unique relationships with each one. His proudest moments in life were spent on Vashon Island running his own butcher shop, snowbirding in Phoenix and later retiring to Belize.

He will be greatly missed, especially by his four children, Ozzie, David, Philip and Margaret and Jacqueline Pearce, to whom he was married for 41 years. He is also survived by three siblings, eight grandchildren and countless family and friends whose lives he touched.
