JetBlue passengers begin shouting match on board flight from JFK Airport to Dominican Republic

There was turbulence on the asphalt!

Tempers flared on a JetBlue flight when an irascible passenger, reportedly angry that the plane was carrying “too many children,” got into a heated argument with a sober mother and her teenage son.

The plane was about to depart from JFK Airport to Cibao International Airport in the Dominican Republic on June 23 when passenger Karoll Chanel Morel began recording the voice battle.

“We had been delayed multiple times, it wasn’t her fault,” Morel told independent Instagram news page PPV Tahoe. “As we were standing on the tarmac about to take off, the flight attendant saw she had two babies and her 13-year-old son with her.”

She alleged that a flight attendant noticed the teenager carrying the baby and told the mother that an adult needed to hold the child during the flight, after which the plane was forced to return to the gate.

The video began with a man in a black Adidas shirt and baseball cap shouting at the mother from a row behind her to “shut up,” before the argument reached a boiling point.

Morel claims the frustrated man “went crazy,” blaming her and her children for the delay and calling her a “dumb bitch.”

The passenger’s fearless teenage son, wearing a white shirt and glasses, then rose from his seat two rows in front of the irate pilot to confront him as well.

The son demanded to know who the man thought he was speaking to, “just his mother.”

“Shut your f–k mouth,” the man shouts fiercely at the boy, at which point his mother steps between them.

“Be quiet!” she screams repeatedly, passionately pointing her finger at the angry man.

The camera then zooms in on her son, who has to be held by the flight attendants while another passenger holds the mother’s child.

“When we got back to the gate, the man holding the baby in the video offered to take the baby on the flight if the mother was okay with it. She said yes, so they went to change the baby under his name,” the passenger told the outlet.

All three begin shouting at each other, before the man tells the mother again, “Shut your f–k mouth and sit down.”

Her son then ran down the aisle and stopped at the man’s row to continue yelling, at which point a flight attendant escorted him away.

The mother and man continue to yell at each other, switching from English to Spanish, as a voice comes over the intercom telling everyone to “sit down” before the video ends.

It is unclear whether the plane took off after the scuffle and whether the passengers involved in the disrupted shouting match were removed from the plane.

The Post has asked JetBlue for comment.

The video, posted to Instagram on Tuesday, has been viewed nearly 200,000 times, with many people commenting with messages of support for the mother and son.

“That mother has every reason to be angry, that man had no money for it,” wrote one user.

“What a jerk! Like traveling with kids isn’t easy, why make her day harder than it already is smh,” another commented.

“A grown man yelling at a woman and a child like that is crazy!” said another.
